I created this podcast to support other families raising children with autism and special needs. This podcast is dedicated to the parents, addressing the challenges that we go through, providing insight into my own experiences, sharing my journey with my son and the mindset shifts and resources I have used to help me navigate through this journey. My hope is to inspire other people, to give them hope, to let them know they are not alone and to be a resource, to be a light.
Dina is an autism mom not only advocating for her son in a military family, but also helping other people through the company she founded, Lily and Magnolia Travel! She is a Certified Autism Travel Professional helping other families find the right support for their travel plans.
If you are a worrier like me, there are solutions and tools you can use to break the cycle. In this episode, I go over a few of the tools that work for me in my personal journey. What’s more important is actually putting these tools to use, practicing with intention and making it part of your daily routine.
Are you aware of how you’re coping with life challenges, emotions and things you’re going through? This episodes covers:
✨ Types of coping - active, avoidant, outward, inward
✨ Escaping, which is what I used to do when I would use alcohol to escape, which ultimately did not help anything
✨ Becoming aware and intentional
✨ Short term pain for long term gain - your choices matter and taking the easy way may not be the best option
If you have felt like you have lost yourself in the midst of taking care of everyone else, this episode is for you. I have felt like this and I provide my personal insight and advice on how to get yourself back.
This episode is all about how to use a stone (or other small object) to help you with:
dealing with your emotions
getting grounded in the present
and letting go
